Freshfields has announced that disputes partner Tim Mak will take over as Managing Partner of its Hong Kong office, succeeding Matt O'Callaghan, who has been promoted to Asia Regional Managing Partner.
Tim Mak specialises in cross-border complex commercial disputes, regulatory investigations and enforcement matters. With extensive experience in financial regulatory compliance, he advises investment banks, private banks, insurers, asset managers, payment institutions and digital asset service providers, and handles numerous highly sensitive and high-risk cross-border legal matters.
The appointment will take effect on 1 August.
